In a letter to our Executive Chairman, the Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner Kevin Hyland, who is appointed by the Prime Minister, wrote: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the commendable work you are doing in the fight against modern slavery. Your engagement with the private sector is exemplary and I do hope this continues to expand.”
Verisio has been in discussions on how we can more effectively deploy our available resources, which are funded through private and commercial means, to assist the government in checking industries such as nail parlours, care homes, car washes and construction sites.
We are currently looking to hire up to 10 trainee social compliance auditors in the United Kingdom to assist in enforcement of the Modern Slavery Act. We can’t afford to pay high salaries but candidates would have the satisfaction of making the world a better place. A company car will be provided after the six month training course is successfully completed. Previous auditing experience appreciated but not required. Personality and communication skills are the primary qualifications.
